Traveling Thread Co studio will open its doors to mother-daughter duo's again these school holidays for a creative sewing experience making Tote Bags together!

We are bursting with happiness that you're choosing time & a shared experience with your daughter.  In our busy world, it can feel like we do a lot of "drop-offs" so here's an opportunity to "drop-in".

All you need is...YOURSELVES!  Our learn-to-sew experience is inclusive of:

  • Sewing machines (though you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own, working & serviced, if you have one)
  • All fabric, notions & equipment (pre-cut and ready to sew)
  • Small group setting
  • Herbal Tea or cold drinks
  • Connection with your daughter in a creative setting, learning together
  • Teaching guidance with sewing the project: from threading a machine to the final stitch. This class is designed for absolute beginners!

This sewing class runs for up to 3 hours from our creative studio in Medowie, NSW, 2318.

What to expect from our experiences:

  • Confidence building of your sewing skills
  • Encouragement, patience and gentle instruction
  • Sew much fun, of course!
  • Inspired creative energy
  • Take home your finished project/s made by YOU!

We are passionate about sewing, creativity & community and strongly believe that we are all lifelong learners.  Start, where you are with what you have.  Learn to sew, grow & flourish with us: from little things big things grow!

This experience is beginner friendly, including absolute beginners!

Spaces are limited to provide a nurturing and creative atmosphere for all participants.

Investment per mother-daughter duo $99.

About our PDF sewing patterns

Our PDF sewing patterns are layered, which means you can choose to only print the size/s that you need.

Important: We recommend printing ONLY the size/s you need.  This is particularly important to allow for a clear view of the detailed pleating notches on our sleeves when the PDF pattern is printed out.

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to select your layers & print our patterns to their correct scale.  More details on printing are included in the Instruction Booklet.

Our PDF patterns are designed to print at home on A4 (8.3" x 11.7") or Letter (8.5" x 11") paper sizes.  An A0 file is also included (33.1" x 46.8").

All patterns include a fully photographed step-by-step instruction booklet.

Due to the nature of digital downloads being immediately accessible upon purchase, refunds cannot be provided for digital goods except in the case where the goods are faulty or not as advertised.
